I am able to introduce two co-founders who have already built, since 2015, a niche Japanese-style food brand in Tasmania, Australia.
Why did they create this product?
As consumers themselves, they felt like they were missing and would buy premium quality miso with ingredient provenance from Australia.
Being so passionate about food quality and provenance, they decided to create one.
This is why their company produces the best miso in Australia.
KEY ATTRIBUTES OF THE CO-FOUNDERS
The co-founders both served in the Royal Australian Navy.
Their military training as Logistician and Navigator means that the culture of the company runs like a tight ship.
KEY ATTRIBUTES OF THEIR IDEAL PARTNER
The founders want to build strategic relationships with partners who:
1 ) Will actively secure market access and provide consumer intelligence on product development to grow product sales into new markets.
For example, the ideal new partner would own an online or offline channel of organic supermarkets in Asia.
2 ) Will help drive the company to raise its Series A investment round within four years.
TOP THREE GOALS
Their top three commercial goals now are:
1. Find a strategic investment partner to co-develop market access beyond Australia into Asia
2. Grow domestic revenue to $5M by 2023 from around $350k per annum now
3. Scale production to 25T per month by 2023 from 5T per month now.
